Tips for sharper guesses
Treat yellow as a lead, not a dead end — a near-match on team or tournament often points to the right era even when the nickname was wrong. Lock the year early when the board starts agreeing; then hunt nicknames from that major window.
Country, team, year, tournament, and primary role update after every guess. Green is locked truth. Yellow is “related but not exact.” Gray or empty fields still need a better pick. The Major winner line stays hidden until you burn three attempts.
